About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Business Partner to join our team at DP World Australia. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, contractors, and customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSE strategies and programs to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safe work procedures to mitigate hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Collaborate with management and employees to develop and implement HSE training programs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain HSE documentation, including policies, procedures, and reports.
- Provide HSE support and guidance to employees and contractors, and ensure that all HSE-related activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to ensure a safe and effective response to emergencies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that HSE considerations are integrated into all aspects of the business.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A tertiary qualification in Health, Safety, and Environment (Degree/Diploma).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a safety role, preferably in a logistics or intermodal park environment.
- Trained in Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM).
- Audit, risk assessment, and incident investigation experience.
- Experience in workplace communication and consultation, including participation in HSE committees.
- Knowledge of relevant jurisdictional WHSE Acts and Regulations, Dangerous Goods Regulations.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate others, obtain cooperation and/or support of senior management, peers, employees, and contractors.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems.
