Medical Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Female Medical Officer to join our team at Anyinginyi Health, an Aboriginal community-controlled organization committed to achieving health equity for Aboriginal people in the Barkly region.
As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services and competent client-centered care to our clients in a culturally responsive manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clinical services and expert medical advice in line with the CARPA Manual and clinical leadership
- Working with a multi-disciplinary team of health staff to ensure seamless care delivery
- Supporting the development of other medical officers, including registrars and locum GPs
- Facilitating professional development and assisting with educational needs of health staff
- Providing advice on key client and public health events

Key requirements include:
- Demonstrated experience delivering primary health care services, preferably in an Aboriginal community as a general practitioner
- Accredited GP registrar supervisor
- Current or eligible registration with AHPRA as a medical officer in the specialty of general practice
- Recognized clinical experience and/or postgraduate qualifications
- Respect for and responsiveness to Aboriginal culture and protocols
- Current driver's license
- OCHRE Card (Working with Children) or the ability to apply
- Current valid police check
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
