Job Title: Offshore Crewing Manager

DOF is a leading provider of integrated subsea project and marine services to the global offshore energy market. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality services, and we are seeking an experienced Offshore Crewing Manager to join our Asia Pacific region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our offshore crew, ensuring they have the necessary experience, qualifications, and medical fitness to safely deliver offshore operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to maintain a positive and high-performance culture onboard our vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct the Asia Pacific Crewing Team to ensure safe and efficient crew travel, compliance with local government requirements, and up-to-date visa, work permit, medical, and flag state requirements.
  • Manage, mentor, and support the APAC Crewing team, including team capability development, resource planning, and work allocation.
  • Be responsible for Subsea and Marine crew competence and capability development, ensuring safe manning and compliance with STCW, MLC, Charter Party, Flag state, codes, and standards.
  • Interface with Project Managers, Vessel Masters, and Superintendents to communicate project and client crew competence requirements, training matrices, schedules, and logistics needs.
  • Communicate regularly with Vessel Masters to discuss and manage crew matters, including training and competence requirements, crew performance, and development, and to ensure and maximize crew well-being and mental health.
  • Be responsible for resolving swiftly, respectfully, and fairly any crew disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Oversee the recruitment of Casual Subsea Project Crew and Marine Crew, and be involved in the recruitment and selection of Senior Permanent Marine Crew.
  • Ensure effective implementation and compliance of DOF's crewing systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Oversee the Crewing System, ensuring it is developed, maintained, accurate, and up to date to meet regional needs.
  • Responsible for the cost control and cost optimization of the Crewing Department's budget.
  • Maintain professional and industry networks and mutually beneficial relationships with Unions across the APAC Region.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Leadership skills and substantial experience in international crewing in the Offshore Energy Sector.
  • Conversant with both Maritime and Offshore Energy Industry codes and legislative requirements, including understanding and interpretation of Enterprise Agreements.
  • Tertiary Qualifications are desirable, but not essential.
