Leadership Opportunity in Early Childhood Education

We are seeking dedicated professionals to take on a leadership role at our Child Care Centre.

The successful applicant will be supported by an experienced management team, have the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals in the early childhood sector, work in a well-resourced centre, and receive regular training and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programs for young children based on the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Promote understanding of the approved learning framework and stay up-to-date with current research and resources.
  • Explore opportunities for professional development and help educators understand and implement policies and procedures.
  • Encourage educators to reflect on their practice and discuss ways to demonstrate the service is meeting standards.
  • Play a key role in mentoring, guiding and supporting educators.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic, positive and motivating attitude.
  • Desire and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to liaise with all people at a high level of professionalism.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Police Check.
  • First Aid and CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis, Fire Safety Training, Child Protection Training Legal & Practical Response to Child Abuse, Safe Food Handling and Safe Sleep for Early Childhood Educators Certificate.
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience and knowledge of Regulations.
  • Knowledge about theories, pedagogy and relevant learning frameworks.
  • Skills at supporting educators of varying abilities and learning styles.
