Role Overview

Operate heavy machinery in a coal mine environment, utilizing Dragline Operators' expertise to manage complex tasks and ensure workplace safety.

  • Proficiently operate Marion 8050 Draglines and surrounding equipment such as dozers and excavators.
  • Effectively manage cable tractor operations for high-voltage cable handling and perform grader skills with the willingness to train.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify potential hazards and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Operate heavy machinery including dozers, graders, and excavators, ensuring compliance with established safety protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment to achieve common goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in dragline operation with significant open-cut mining exposure.
  • Excellent dozer operating skills for navigating around a dragline setup.
  • Strong background in cable tractor management for high-voltage cable handling is essential.
  • A valid HR licence or site Heavy Rigid authorisation for operating cable and water trucks is required.
  • Current evidence of relevant skills competencies is necessary for dragline, dozer, and cable tractor operations.
