Join a reputable national law firm as a Legal Accountant/Bookkeeper and take on a challenging role that requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
About the RoleThis is a key position within the firm's finance team, responsible for managing the entire accounting function, including accounts payable, general ledger, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, month-end reporting, financial and management reporting, payroll, trust accounting and controlled monies, annual trust audits, cash flows, variance analysis, superannuation reporting and payments, workers compensation renewals and compliance, and BAS and GST.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring general legal and corporate governance compliance.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in accounting or a related field, preferably with a CA/CPA qualification;
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting, preferably in a law or accounting firm;
- A solid understanding of Australian accounting standards, tax legislation, and payroll accounting;
- Experience in trust accounts and using Crystal Reports;
- High accuracy, attention to detail, and time prioritization skills;
- The ability to thrive in a high-volume, busy, and multi-tasking environment.
