We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiation Therapist to join our team at Icon Cancer Centre Canberra. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centred clinical radiation therapy planning and treatment services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality radiation therapy planning and treatment services that meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Maintain the highest standards of patient care and continually enhance the quality of service and patient experience.
- Liaise with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient needs are met in a timely manner.
- Exhibit a strong patient focus and treat all patients and their carers with respect, dignity, and equality.
- Support a high-performance culture that delivers quality patient care services through a patient-centred and collaborative approach.
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative individual who is highly enthusiastic, motivated, and quick to adapt in a supportive environment. As a Radiation Therapist, you will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality radiation therapy services and a passion for working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
Requirements- Current AHPRA Registered Radiation Therapist with ACT Radiation Use Licence or ability to obtain (AMR also available).
- Proven technical proficiency in radiation therapy treatment planning and delivery.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills that inspire trust and confidence in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to delivering high-quality radiation therapy services.
- Ability to adhere to clinical protocols and procedures.
- Understanding of the service delivery model within the private healthcare sector.
- Demonstrable capacity to work effectively and positively both independently and as a member of the multidisciplinary team.

We utilise a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator for treatment, ARIA patient information management system, and Eclipse Planning. Our Radiation Oncology department cares for a broad mix of patients and presentations and proudly offers the latest radiotherapy techniques and equipment to local patients.
