Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

Our client, a leading food manufacturer in Western Sydney, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead their maintenance department and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support site operations.

This role will play a critical part in ensuring seamless and efficient operations within the department, particularly during designated shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the supervision, development, and training programs for the site maintenance team, ensuring compliance with certification requirements.
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs, including Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Predictive Maintenance, Equipment Overhauls, and Upgrades.
  • Exhibit proactive and collaborative leadership, fostering a culture of safety and innovation.
  • Lead incident and hazard management, ensuring a safe working environment for the team.
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational issues, escalating as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Guarantee that maintenance activities contribute to the production of high-quality products.
  • Ensure the team is trained in safe work execution and drive enhancements to eradicate safety hazards throughout the factory.
  • Supervise workflows and address staffing requirements to optimize team performance.
Requirements:
  • Experience in leading medium to large teams, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience in safe handling and operating of machines, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership in food and beverage manufacturing, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Firm commitment to Workplace Health and Safety, with knowledge of HACCP and WHS systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various stakeholders at different levels.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in high-pressure situations, with a strong focus on problem-solving.
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge to assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of machines.
  • Proven experience in a similar production role within a beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Australian working rights, with a valid visa or citizenship.

Successful applicants will undergo a drug and alcohol test, medical examination, and provide two recent work references and proof of Australian work rights.
