About the Role

As a Life Skills Specialist at Everyday Independence, you will play a vital part in enabling NDIS participants to develop greater independence and reach their full potential.

The role involves supporting participants across all ages and stages of life, working under the guidance of primary therapists (Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Key Workers or Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners).

What Does the Job Entail?
  • Implementing therapy plans provided by primary therapists
  • Supporting participants in their daily routines and activities
  • Encouraging social engagement and healthy habits

You will be responsible for developing strategies to assist participants in achieving their goals, which may include:

  • Assisting with daily living tasks such as grocery shopping and meal preparation
  • Supporting participants in accessing public transport and engaging in social activities
  • Fostering healthy habits and promoting independent living
Requirements
  • Studying a university degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Physiotherapy (minimum 2nd year)
  • Alternatively, have completed a Certificate 3 or 4 in Allied Health Assistance or an equivalent qualification, with demonstrated experience in a similar position
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to your salary, you will receive:
