About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Facilities Manager to join our team at Transurban. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in setting the strategic direction of our facilities management function and ensuring the delivery of our workplace strategy to meet our current and future needs.
This role is primarily responsible for the Australian operations, however, provides functional guidance to the North American operation, influencing to a global standard, wherever possible. You will join an innovative team that continuously looks at better ways to do things.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the Facilities Management Services function
- Lead, develop, and coach a highly capable team to roll out business-as-usual and longer-term processes and strategies
- Identify areas to streamline and automate business processes and partner with our technology team to leverage our technologies to ensure seamless experiences for our users
- Represent the facilities function across the business, establishing best practice standards for Facilities and bringing everyone along on the journey
- Ensure safety is always top priority for the business and its employees, providing safe, clean, and operational facilities that are compliant with local laws and regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar Senior Facilities Management role, ideally across multiple sites (and multi-regions) within a corporate environment
- Experience in overseeing a complex portfolio across a mix of owned and leased buildings, facilities management, consolidation projects, and contract management (including managing large teams of contractors)
- Sound knowledge of various codes and HSE regulations
- Ability to prioritize, delegate, and remain calm in a crisis, with a willingness to get hands-on to resolve situations
- Mentorship and leadership skills, with the ability to lead by example and influence those around you
