
Demand Planning Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Demand Planning Specialist to lead our forecasting and planning efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain, FMCG, or manufacturing environments and be able to analyze data to inform business decisions.
About the Role:The Demand Planning Specialist will own the short-term demand plan and rolling 12-month forecast, collaborating closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment on assumptions. This role involves developing statistical forecasts using demand patterns, trends, and seasonality, as well as leading demand planning consensus meetings and documenting key assumptions to support the S&OP process.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop Accurate Forecasts: Use data analysis skills to develop accurate statistical forecasts that meet business needs.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to generate a reliable demand signal that informs upstream supply chain planning.
- Lead Demand Planning Consensus Meetings: Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams to agree on key assumptions and drive informed decision-making.
- Document Key Assumptions: Ensure that key assumptions are documented and communicated effectively to support the S&OP process.
- Support Product Launches and Phase-Outs: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product launches and effective phase-outs.
- Supply Chain Experience: Proven experience in supply chain, FMCG, or manufacturing environments.
- Data Analysis Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong analytical skills.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with Sales and Marketing teams to achieve business objectives.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively document key assumptions and communicate with stakeholders.
