Role Overview

The Senior Housekeeper at Infinite Aged Care plays a pivotal role in delivering quality housekeeping and cleaning services. With a focus on infection control, this position ensures a safe and healthy living environment for residents.

This full-time position involves supervising cleaning and laundry staff to maintain high standards. You will work closely with the Facility Manager at our Mount Lofty Aged Care Facility to review processes, identify improvement opportunities, complete audits, and provide feedback.

About You

We seek an individual with leadership qualities, strong communication and problem-solving skills. Compassion and a customer service mindset are essential. Previous leadership experience is preferred, but we hire based on attitude and aptitude.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading, training, and supervising housekeeping and laundry staff.
  • Creating work schedules, assigning tasks, and monitoring staff performance.
  • Conducting regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and laundry quality standards.
  • Maintaining inventory levels, ordering supplies, and managing budgets effectively.
  • Proactively identifying and preventing safety hazards in the workplace.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must hold a current NDIS clearance and be willing to apply. You will also need to demonstrate previous leadership experience and relevant skills. A right to work in Australia is essential.

Working Conditions

This role involves physical demands, including bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing items. You must be able to perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself or others.
