As a senior finance accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate finance systems to ensure seamless alignment of chart of accounts and reporting structures.
  • Oversee month-end processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Coordinate half-year and year-end reporting, financial statements, and audit requirements to meet compliance standards.
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure adherence to Australian accounting standards.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management reporting to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Contribute to ERP implementation planning and other finance improvement initiatives to drive efficiency.
  • Provide technical accounting advice for projects, acquisitions, and disposals.
  • Drive process improvements using technology and standardized practices to enhance reporting efficiency.

About this role:

  • A qualified Chartered Accountant with audit experience in medium to large entities is essential.
  • At least seven years' practical experience in financial accounting and reporting is required.
  • A strong background in corporate accounting, consolidations, and statutory reporting is necessary.
  • Experience with finance IT integrations and acquisition accounting is desirable.
  • Excellent accounting knowledge and a strong analytical mindset are essential.
  • Proficiency in SAP or other major ERP systems is required.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets are necessary.
