Field Service Technician Opportunity

An exciting role for an experienced and skilled Field Service Technician with a focus on automated packaging and processing equipment has become available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out service work as specified in existing service contracts
  • Install machinery and assist with the commissioning of new machines to customer requirements
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs, ensuring equipment is running efficiently
  • Execute modifications and upgrades of existing machines to meet customer needs
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams, including sales and technical departments
Requirements:
  • A qualified electrician with mechanical aptitude or a mechanical trade holder plus restricted electrical license
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting, specifically low-voltage systems (24 VDC)
  • Knowledge of motor and drive technologies (servo motors) and PLC control systems (familiarity level)
  • Strong computer knowledge, encompassing network structures, Ethernet, EtherCAT and serial communication protocols
  • Previous experience in the food industry with packaging and processing equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a systematic approach to resolving technical issues
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, manuals and drawings effectively
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office applications and comfort using various software on associated devices
  • Valid driver's license

This is a full-time position involving regional travel within Victoria, with occasional interstate or international assignments.
