Project Coordinator
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, managing facade replacement and heritage restoration construction projects. They must have an understanding of new construction and refurbishment project methodologies.
This is a great opportunity to oversee and coordinate projects while being responsible for project deliverables and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage construction programs to ensure timely completion.
- Regular cost forecasts and management of cost controls/reporting for allocated projects.
- Project progress reporting and conducting weekly meetings with team members.
- Liaise closely with clients ensuring projects run to program.
- Prepare, review and complete subcontractor claims and variations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment and quality requirements.
- Coordinate direct labour and subcontractors.
- Provide advice on any technical and engineering issues.
- Involvement with tendering/estimation.
- Create and modify instruction, training and procedure documents.
- Raise requests for information and track responses.
Requirements:
- 5 years in construction industry in a similar role or value, managing facade replacement and heritage projects.
- Strong understanding and appreciation for heritage building conservation.
- Leadership skills and understanding of leadership responsibilities.
- A high level of understanding and appreciation for safety protocols.
- Commercial acumen and ability to make informed decisions.
- Programming and planning skills.
- Contract awareness and cost tracking experience.
- Ability to positively influence, develop and maintain stakeholder relationships with clients and internal team members.
- Self-managing while working well in a team environment.
- Problem-solving ability and can 'think outside the box'.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Construction White Card.
- Drivers Licence.
- Tertiary qualification in Construction or Project Management.
