The Design & Drafting Manager will lead our team in delivering high-quality engineering solutions using best practices, standards, and tools.

About the Role

This key position is responsible for coordinating all design and drafting resources, including preparing schedules, coordinating activities, monitoring performance, and reporting on progress.

The role requires implementing strategies for managing priorities, designing development, change, and functionality, as well as formulating management plans, processes, policies, and procedures.

In addition, this role involves standardizing documentation, reviewing and approving designs, and ensuring compliance with statutory and industry standards.

We are seeking an experienced professional with strong technical skills, supervisory experience, and excellent communication and people management abilities.

You will be working in a dynamic environment, utilizing your expertise to deliver exceptional results and contribute to the company's mission of creating a cleaner and greener future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage design and drafting resources to effectively deliver engineering projects.
  • Develop and implement strategies for managing priorities, scheduling, and performance.
  • Foster collaboration among team members to achieve project goals.
  • Create and maintain documentation, standards, and processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or a related field.
  • Technical writing experience and proficiency in design software.
  • Supervisory and project management experience, with a focus on team leadership and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
