Cloud Infrastructure Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Expert to join our team. As a key member of our cloud environment management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and security of our cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and monitor cloud environments, with a primary focus on Azure and Office 365.
  • Lead the direction of the cloud environment by working with the Cloud Architect to design solutions for future requirements.
  • Take responsibility for the vulnerability posture and remediation within the Azure environment.
  • Administer and enhance Azure and Microsoft 365 security tools, including Defender for Cloud and Conditional Access Policies.
  • Build and manage infrastructure-as-code using BICEP templates to deploy new environments and resources.
  • Lead the migration of applications and resources from legacy Azure environments to new subscriptions.
  • Optimise cloud expenditure by monitoring costs and providing recommendations to stakeholders.

As a successful Cloud Engineer, you will have extensive experience in a senior-level role, with a strong focus on Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. You will be well-versed in Azure network routing concepts (Vnets, UDRs, Express Route), and possess demonstrated expertise in setting up Azure Policy to enforce consistency and automate tasks.

You will also have experience with Bicep templates to deploy Azure infrastructure and working with DevOps pipelines. Your solid understanding of Azure security tooling, including Defender for Cloud and managing RBAC permissions, will enable you to administer and enhance Azure and Microsoft 365 security tools.

A strong skill set in troubleshooting, and experience with monitoring, alerting, and reporting tools like Azure Monitor, will be essential. Knowledge of or exposure to AWS and Microsoft Power Platform is a plus.
