We are seeking a highly skilled Driller to join our team at Helmerich & Payne, Inc. as a Drilling Operations Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our drilling rigs, supervising a team of rig crew personnel, and maintaining a high level of safety and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of rig crew personnel to ensure safe and efficient drilling operations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve drilling efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of drilling operations.
- Monitor and report on drilling progress, including well control and safety metrics.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of drilling operations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in drilling operations, with a focus on rig supervision and safety.
- Proven track record of safety and environmental compliance.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- FlexRig and FlexRig technology experience.
- Experience with drilling fluid analysis and management.
- Knowledge of Australian drilling regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
- Competitive salary range: $136,875 – $173,375.
