We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of Lecturer, Undergraduate Psychology. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing curriculum, coordinating subjects, teaching, assessing, and supporting students as they learn.

About the Position

This role is part of a larger School within the University, undertaking teaching and research across various disciplines including neuroscience, psychology, counselling, rehabilitation counselling, art therapy, family therapy, public health, digital health, and analytics. The School comprises six academic units, each focusing on specific areas of study.

The Department of Psychology, Counselling and Therapy operates across multiple campuses and locations, providing a dynamic higher degree program in various areas. It offers a range of undergraduate courses and entry to several postgraduate practice degree courses, aiming to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities through excellence in teaching and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing curriculum and coordinating subjects
  • Teaching, assessing, and supporting students
  • Engaging in scholarly work relevant to the development of learning and teaching in this discipline or professional field
Required Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A PhD or Masters degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline area of psychology
  • Demonstrated ability to be effective in teaching and curriculum development in face-to-face, blended, and/or online modes
  • High-level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively and productively with people from diverse backgrounds
