About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Court Security Manager to fill this key position in Carnarvon, Western Australia.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity with some flexibility around working hours due to the operational nature of courts.
The successful candidate will provide vital support and assistance in delivering an effective and efficient court operation and contribute to the development of their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with court officials to ensure contractual requirements are met
- Ensure suitable resources are available for court and custody areas
- Inspect and monitor court operations for compliance
- Deliver high-quality service while maintaining staff and prisoner welfare, safety, and security
- Check warrants according to documented procedures
- Inspect and check court premises for effectiveness and tidiness of security systems
- Maintain emergency procedures and ensure staff awareness
- Monitor incident reports within required timeframes
- Set clear direction and objectives for direct reports
- Represent the organization at court user group meetings
- Contribute to a diverse, inclusive work environment
Requirements:
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary police checks and clearance
- 6 weeks of full-time training in Perth prior to start in Carnarvon (flights and accommodation provided)
- Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test
- Manual driving license desirable (HR, MR, or F extension category highly desirable)
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to maintain a reasonable level of fitness
