Your new role

Due to growth, we have an opportunity for a full-time Senior Accountant in our Private Business and Family Advisory team, located in Newcastle. This position offers excellent career progression and opportunities to develop your skills.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide general accounting and tax compliance services to client groups within a broad range of industries.
  • Prepare management reports for clients, demonstrating your expertise and analytical skills.
  • Assist the client manager or partner with more complex taxation advice, showcasing your ability to work collaboratively.
  • Be responsible for mentoring and training junior team members, sharing your knowledge and experience.

About you

The successful candidate for this role will possess the following attributes:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a public practice environment (business services/taxation).
  • Completed or near completion of a Bachelor of Commerce degree (or similar) and commenced or intend to commence the CA program.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and a keen sense of discretion.
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team where required, with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow your skills to the next level, along with a high level of curiosity and engagement with our core values.

This opportunity offers a salary around $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation and other benefits.
