Role Responsibilities

As the primary care provider, you will be involved in general practice and emergency medicine, supported by an experienced team and excellent facilities.

The practice offers a dynamic and varied work environment, with opportunities to broaden your skills through visits from specialist services in mental health, drug and alcohol support, women's health, and skin checks.

You will also enjoy the flexibility of permanent full-time hours with structured roster options designed to promote work-life balance.

What We Offer
  • Competitive remuneration package valued at up to $650,000 per annum
  • General practice billings: Average around $2,000 per day
  • On-call payments: $2,000 per day, with 161 days rostered annually = $322,000 per year
  • Moratorium reduction: MM6 location with RA4 scaling benefit, reducing the moratorium period to six years
  • Relocation and living support: Includes a car and house conveniently located so you can walk to the hospital when on call
  • Flexible roster options: Permanent role with structured roster choices — either 2 weeks on/2 weeks off or 3 weeks on/1 week off — designed to support a balanced lifestyle while maintaining continuity of care
About the Region

Walgett is a welcoming agricultural town with a population of around 6,100, situated at the junction of the Namoi and Barwon Rivers in north-western NSW. Requirements

We are seeking a vocationally registered GP (FRACGP or FACRRM) with recent emergency or VMO experience.

Genuine interest in rural medicine and Indigenous health is also essential, along with being a strong team player ready to work within a supportive clinic and hospital environment.
