Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the Gateway Project within a secure Defence environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of network elements and be able to design, build, and integrate them within a standalone Defence network environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and Solutions Architect to develop, configure, maintain, and document key components of a standalone Gateway. This is a unique opportunity to apply your skills and expertise in a challenging and rewarding role.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design, build, and integration of network elements within a standalone Defence network environment.
  • Provide SME-level advice on gateway project architecture, integration, and technical implementation.
  • Deliver Level 3 support for gateway infrastructure, troubleshooting complex issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document network specifications including detailed enclave designs, schematics, and build instructions.
  • Ensure alignment of network and security standards, policies, and system design.

  • Microsoft Server 2019/2022, Red Hat 8/9, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
  • Networking & Security:
  • Cisco & Juniper enterprise solutions
  • Proxies (Bluecoat ProxySG), Email Security (Cisco ESA/SMA), Fortinet appliances
