Leading a surveillance and quality assurance team is a critical role within the transport infrastructure construction and maintenance sector. As an Inspection Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating the planning and implementation of risk-based site surveillance of assigned works.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of road and rail requirements and constraints within a construction environment. They must possess excellent leadership skills and be able to manage teams effectively.

The Inspection Officer will oversee stage transition inspections for key infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with systems and processes throughout the project lifecycle. This includes providing expert technical advice and managing work programs.

The role requires a minimum of 7+ years' experience in civil site surveillance, as well as relevant certifications or qualifications in civil construction. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading surveillance and quality assurance of transport infrastructure construction and maintenance work

  • Managing resolution of issues on site with contractors
  • Oversighting stage transition inspections for key infrastructure projects
