Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Services Technician to join our team in maintaining service delivery within various instrumentation networks across Australia.

This is a critical role that requires travel to remote locations using 4WDs, planes, boats, and helicopters to perform field work. As part of a team, you will ensure the smooth operation of instrumentation networks and maintain and repair equipment used in weather monitoring and forecasting.

About the Role:

  • Strong technical background in electronics, electrical or instrumentation engineering required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in remote locations essential
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Australia and enjoy working outdoors required

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Travel to remote locations to perform field work using 4WDs, planes, boats, and helicopters
  2. Maintain and repair equipment used in weather monitoring and forecasting
  3. Work as part of a team to ensure smooth operation of instrumentation networks

Benefits:

  • A competitive salary range of $80,341 - $87,572 per annum
  • Ongoing/Non-ongoing employment opportunity
  • 15.4% superannuation guarantee

About You:

  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
  • APS Level 5 qualification or equivalent required
  • Current driver's license and ability to obtain a NSW vehicle license required
