About the Role:

YHA Cairns is seeking a Housekeeper/Receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis. We're looking for someone who can provide exceptional customer service and support our property with front desk and housekeeping duties. The front desk/housekeeping team is responsible for ensuring guests have a memorable experience and the property remains sparkling clean and meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their queries and providing helpful local knowledge and recommendations.
  • Check in and out guests, providing them with information to enhance their stay.
  • Resolve any guest concerns or disputes and escalate to relevant management when necessary.

Housekeeping:

  • Refresh communal spaces, bathrooms, and accommodation rooms, kitchens, and ensure the property remains clean and well-maintained.
  • Monitor and replenish stock to maintain high standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in front desk reception, customer service, and commercial cleaning in an accommodation setting.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Flexible availability for a 24/7 roster, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Full Australian working rights with no restrictions.
