Key to a successful career in risk management lies in understanding operational risks and implementing effective frameworks. As an Operations and Resilience Risk Management Manager, you will have a significant impact on the bank's risk management framework.

You will work closely with the Risk and Executive Committee to ensure that operational risks are properly identified, assessed, and mitigated.

The role requires expertise in operational risk management, including the implementation of the Non-Financial Risk (NFR) framework and other relevant frameworks.

You will be responsible for providing expert advice and assurance on the effectiveness of the NFR framework, as well as identifying areas for improvement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice and assurance on the implementation of the NFR framework and associated policies, procedures, and control standards.
  • Assisting in the development, embedding, and management of non-financial risk management and its associated frameworks across the business.
  • Conducting effective reviews and challenges of business decisions and activities in line with the Three Lines of Defense (3LOD).
  • Contributing to overall NFR development and strategic initiatives.
  • Reporting on the business unit’s Non-Financial Risk profile, emerging risks, and the effectiveness of the NFR Framework.

Requirements include:

  • A sound understanding of operational risk, including the frameworks and practices.
  • A financial services and/or risk management background with a minimum of 8 years’ experience.
  • Awareness of current industry threats, trends, and issues that potentially affect the Bank’s business.
  • Exceptional time and priority management skills, with the ability to operate effectively under time pressure.
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
