Job Title: Business Intelligence Data Migration Specialist

Job Summary:

A seasoned professional is required to lead the migration of data from legacy systems to a new financial management system. This will be undertaken in a fast-paced and dynamic environment within a state government agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive data migration strategy aligned with business needs and stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaborate with process owners to ensure all business scenarios have been considered in the development of the data migration strategy.
  • Work with the data migration team to define detailed mappings between legacy source systems and the new financial management system.
  • Identify and implement the appropriate data migration method for each object, including the identification of interfaces for data load.
  • Provide oversight to ensure successful completion of project milestones for entry and exit criteria of data migration rehearsals.
  • Ensure adequate resources are assigned to the data migration effort during testing activities to validate converted data and reconcile results.
  • Develop and communicate training and documentation for end users and team members.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in data migration and integration projects.
  • A proven track record of leading complex data migration projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of financial management systems and data migration methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Working Conditions:

  • The position will be based at both Port Adelaide and the city center.
  • The contract term will be up to 12 months with the possibility of extension.
