We are currently seeking an Environmental Health Officer to contribute to our mission on a contract basis, with the potential for extension. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional service and supporting one another in achieving our objectives.

POSITION OVERVIEW.
As an Environmental Health Officer, you will collaborate with the Coordinator and the team to ensure adherence to health regulations and standards. Your role will involve engaging in a transformative business model aimed at fostering a culture of compliance and achieving defined service delivery goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Conduct inspections across various sites
  • Address inquiries and provide safety guidance to stakeholders
  • Manage and issue Penalty Infringement Notices as required
  • Evaluate Development Applications to confirm compliance with regulations


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE.

  • Bachelor's degree in Natural Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent
  • Valid Class C Driver's License
  • Experience in the enforcement and/or legal aspects of environmental health legislation
  • Preferred experience within Local Government settings
