We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Education Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work under supervision and direction, performing tasks in accordance with established guidelines and school policies.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students. They will also demonstrate the ability to provide routine support for teachers, including assisting with planning student routines, and supporting communication between teachers and parents.
In this role, you will be responsible for communicating with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities. You will also provide basic physical care and wellbeing support for students, such as toileting, meals, and lifting, and communicate with students to support comprehension of basic tasks and information.
You will address immediate behavioural presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting, aligned to school policy and procedure. Additionally, you will provide basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting, and support teachers in the coordination of educational programs independently or under minimal supervision.
