About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Speech Pathologist to join our team at MediRecruit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and treating children with a range of needs, including Sensory Processing Disorders, ADHD, ASD, learning difficulties, and motor coordination challenges.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently as well as within a team. Experience in Paediatrics and/or working with children is highly desirable, but not essential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat children with a range of needs, including Sensory Processing Disorders, ADHD, ASD, learning difficulties, and motor coordination challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, psychologists, and medical professionals.
  • Provide ongoing supervision and support to junior staff members.
  • Participate in regular case conferences and team meetings to discuss client progress and share best practices.

About You:

  • Recognised degree in Speech Pathology.
  • Certified Practicing Speech Pathology status (CPSP) with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Willingness to be on the road.
  • Current working with children check.
  • Current First Aid Certification.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional education.
  • Current driver's license and use of own car where required.
  • Specific experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders & Sensory Processing Disorders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with therapists, parents, teachers and children.
  • Eligible to work permanently in Australia.
