Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Learning and Development Manager. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with strong leadership abilities and a passion for education to make a meaningful contribution to our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating learning strategies for nursing and support staff. They will work closely with the Director of Clinical Services to identify education and training needs that align with our clinical services plan, national safety and quality health services standards, and our education and training framework.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting annual education needs analysis to identify specific learning requirements for each department
  • Ensuring educational activities meet the needs and expectations of our customers
  • Maintaining current knowledge of nursing and healthcare best practice
  • Coordinating the development of evidence-based educational activities to meet quality initiatives
  • Participating in the development of the education team and effectively managing budgets
  • Coordinating training and education to facilitate staff compliance with mandatory training requirements in line with national benchmarks
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Registration with AHPRA and possession of a current practicing certificate
  • Minimum Certificate 3 in Training and Assessment
  • Experience in leadership roles
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current nursing issues and practices pertaining to the position
  • Good computer literacy and ability to run reports
