Job Title

A dynamic Learning and Development Manager opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to undertake the role of Learning and Development Manager at St Vincent's and St Luke's Hospital in Launceston.

  • This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced L&D Manager or Clinical Nurse Educator looking for their next career challenge.
About The Role

The role is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of learning strategies for both nursing and support staff at our hospital. The Learning & Development Manager will identify education and training needs that align with our hospital's Clinical Services Plan, the National Safety and Quality Health Services (NSQHS) Standards, and our National Education and Training Framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify specific learning requirements for each department through annual education needs analysis.
  • Ensure educational activities are identified with the needs and expectations of our customers understood.
  • Maintains current knowledge of nursing and healthcare best practice.
  • Coordinate the development of evidence-based educational activities to meet the requirements of our quality initiatives.
  • Participate in the development of and effectively manage the education team to meet performance targets.
  • Coordinate training and education to facilitate staff compliance with mandatory training requirements in line with national benchmarks.
What You Bring
  • Registration with AHPRA and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • Minimum Certificate 3 in Training and Assessment.
  • Experience in leadership roles.
  • Commitment to continue professional development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current nursing issues and practices pertaining to the position.
  • Good computer literacy and ability to run reports.
