Job Opportunity: Senior Pharmacist

The role of Senior Pharmacist is crucial in delivering high-quality, comprehensive, and cost-effective pharmacy services for patients with acute healthcare needs.

About the Position:

  • As a Senior Pharmacist, you will play a vital part in optimising drug therapy and medication management to ensure patient safety and continuity of care upon discharge.
  • You will provide expert advice on drugs and therapeutics to medical, nursing, and allied health professionals, contributing to a range of clinical and counselling services that support best practices in medication use.
  • Closely working with professional and non-professional staff, you will enhance patient care and improve overall health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and independent work environments.
  • Utilise your technical expertise and organisational skills to maintain attention to detail, accuracy, and efficient organisation in medication management and patient counselling.
  • Apply knowledge of pharmacy legislation and best practices to deliver solid understanding of clinical pharmacy practice, patient counselling, and medicines information in line with relevant regulations.
  • Demonstrate experience and adaptability in hospital pharmacy and clinical pharmacy services, displaying flexibility and resilience in fast-paced healthcare environments.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as public relations skills, are essential for this role.
  • High level of technical expertise and organisational skills are required to efficiently manage medications and counsel patients effectively.
  • A strong understanding of pharmacy legislation and best practices is necessary to deliver quality services and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy and clinical pharmacy services is highly valued, along with adaptability and resilience in dynamic healthcare environments.
