Job Summary

The Workplace Health, Safety and Environment (WHSE) Manager plays a critical leadership role in overseeing health and safety governance for major business and infrastructure projects.

This senior-level position is responsible for designing, implementing and managing region-wide WHSE programs aligned to Cubic's business goals, values and compliance obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement region-wide WHSE programs that align with Cubic's business objectives and industry standards.
  • Risk Management: Develop and promote a culture of proactive risk identification, prevention and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with global WHSE leaders to ensure alignment with global strategies and frameworks.
  • Support and Advisory: Provide expert WHSE support for major capital and operational projects across the APAC region.
  • Compliance and Governance: Monitor and ensure compliance with regional legislation, industry standards and client HSE requirements.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a tertiary safety qualification.
  • Judgment and Thinking: Demonstrated capacity for independent judgment on complex issues and a talent for conceptual thinking.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of creating organizational objectives and principles that achieve measurable results.
