We are seeking a skilled Senior Security Automation Engineer to join our Cyber Threat and Incident Response team at Macquarie.

In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing our team's capabilities to detect, investigate, and contain cyber threats. As a seasoned security automation expert, you will leverage your technical expertise to design and implement automation workflows that provide our teams with a deeper understanding of the threat landscape.

The mission of our CTIR team is to enable Macquarie to operate safely within a challenging digital environment by detecting, investigating, and responding to advanced cyber threats. The CTIR functional teams consist of cyber threat defence analysts, cyber threat intelligence analysts, detection engineers, and incident responders among others.

As a Senior Security Automation Engineer, you will be instrumental in understanding how our teams work and translating that into automation and orchestration workflows. This role requires 5+ years of Python development and system integration experience, preferably supporting cybersecurity or security adjacent teams. SaaS integration experience is a plus. You should also have experience working with global agile teams and leading junior engineers.

A competitive salary of $160,000 - $220,000 per year reflects the importance of this role. Additionally, we offer hybrid and flexible working arrangements, one wellbeing leave day per year, up to five additional days leave based on length of service, and access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities.
