Naval Advisory Expert

We are seeking an experienced Naval Advisor to join our team and take the lead on delivering complex and high-impact projects across the maritime domain.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with clients to provide expert guidance, supporting business development efforts, and helping to grow our presence in the Australasia region.
About the Role

This is a key position within our Naval Advisory team, requiring strong technical expertise and business acumen. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the naval sector, including its operational and regulatory landscape.

The role involves developing, leading, and delivering naval advisory projects, ensuring they meet quality system requirements. This includes planning and facilitating workshops, translating conclusions into recommendations, and presenting deliverables to senior external clients.

You will also engage directly with senior defence and industry stakeholders in high-impact projects across acquisition, sustainment, fleet optimisation, and life cycle extension.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver naval advisory projects
  • Engage with senior defence and industry stakeholders
  • Identify and win new naval advisory work
  • Support leadership in developing the Naval business
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification from a tertiary institution recognised by LR in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely-related discipline.
  • Extensive professional experience, with a strong foundation in naval marine engineering and consulting.
  • Membership in relevant professional institutions and demonstrated continuous professional development through industry courses, certifications or defence-specific training programmes.
