About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Urban Planner to join our City Development Department. As an Urban Planner, you will be responsible for assessing Planning Permit Applications and providing technical advice to Council teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a range of planning applications, including VicSmart and subdivisions, and provide efficient advice to Council's Business Concierge Officer.
- Provide clear and technical advice to applicants, the public, Council, and other bodies on statutory planning matters.
- Prepare reports and recommendations on applications and present at the Victorian Civil Administrative Tribunal when required.
About You
- You will have a tertiary qualification in town planning or a related discipline.
- You will have a thorough understanding of the Victorian Planning Legislative Framework and knowledge of applying urban planning theory and practice.
- You will have strong writing skills, effective communication and problem-solving skills, and a well-developed customer service ethic.
