About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Graphic Designer to join our team at the Queensland Ambulance Service. As a key member of our Media and Communications team, you will be responsible for supporting the production and delivery of graphic designs and graphic art services across traditional and digital mediums.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and provide advice on the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) branding guidelines and advise on whole-of-government branding guidelines and corporate identity.
  • Administer the QAS communications asset library.
  • Support the Media and Communications team in the production and delivery of graphic designs and graphic art services.
  • Liaise effectively with media representatives and a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver significant or complex communication, media or engagement projects within agreed budgets and timeframes.
  • Manage and deliver creative outputs, including graphic design, video and audio editing.
  • Collaborate and contribute to the positive culture of a team with a track record of maintaining a customer service mentality and supporting all colleagues to succeed.
Requirements
  • A thorough knowledge of contemporary media and communications practices and dynamics.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering significant or complex communication, media or engagement projects within agreed budgets and timeframes.
  • Demonstrated experience in graphic design, managing and delivering creative outputs.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in partnership and build and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sound project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to plan and manage the delivery of numerous competing priorities.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in a communication and/or project management context.
Desirable Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in the communication field (e.g. journalism, public relations, marketing).
  • Video and audio editing skills.
