The Role
This permanent full-time opportunity at Hitachi Construction Machinery in our Mackay branch is looking for a skilled Heavy Diesel Fitter to join the Service team. As a Workshop Based Diesel Fitter (with opportunities for upskilling), you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HD machinery, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical experience.
About You:
- You must ensure that the HCA Safety Culture is adhered to and prioritized above all else.
- You should hold relevant Australian or recognized Mobile Plant, Fitter Machinist, or Heavy Diesel trade qualifications or have equivalent experience in the mining and construction machinery industry.
- A strong aptitude for technology and mechanics is essential.
- You need good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior experience in a similar role or workshop environment would be highly advantageous.
