As a Senior Scientist Haematology/Bloodbank with Queensland Health, you will play a key role in ensuring the Haematology/Transfusion Department at the Gold Coast University Hospital Laboratory operates efficiently and effectively. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining high-quality laboratory practices and providing exceptional service to the Gold Coast district health service.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for:
- Providing scientific leadership to the Haematology/Transfusion team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and the maintenance of professional clinical standards.
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve service delivery and efficiency, in collaboration with the laboratory staff and clients.
- Providing expert advice on Haematology/Transfusion-related matters to laboratory staff and clients, ensuring the provision of accurate and timely information.
- Ensuring compliance with Pathology Queensland requirements and established principles/procedures, ensuring the Haematology/Transfusion service meets the highest standards.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High-level knowledge and expertise in Haematology/Transfusion, with a strong understanding of laboratory practices and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with laboratory staff, clients, and other stakeholders.
