The OpportunityHitachi is actively seeking a highly motivated individual to join the team in the position of Construction Equipment Team Lead for our brand new, state-of-the-art facility. Reporting to the Construction Equipment Supervisor and Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the Perth Construction Equipment Build operations to meet customer requirements, while working closely with the Supervisor and Coordinator to achieve department budgets and allotted Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
As a key member of the team, you will also be responsible for:
- Maintaining work schedules to ensure efficient utilization of equipment and resources.
- Being responsible for the day-to-day activities of workshop personnel and ensuring labor is used most effectively.
- Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders pertaining to customers, machine performance, product, workmanship, and warranty.
- Ensuring HCA employees and contractors comply with all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) responsibilities and that a safety-first culture is a consistent behavior within the department.
- Relevant diesel or mobile plant mechanic trade qualifications.
- Similar supervisory experience with strong leadership skills and the ability to get the team to work cohesively.
- Demonstrated safety focus with a strong understanding of WHS principles.
- Experience in the maintenance of mining and construction equipment (Hitachi exposure would be a distinct advantage).
- Excellent time management with the ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities.
- The ability to use initiative to contribute and support continuous improvement, and drive change.
- Supportive management who value your contribution in finding new and improved ways of achieving success.
