IT Asset Management Specialist

About the Role
Our organisation is seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager to take on a critical role in managing software assets across a large and complex ICT environment. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and effectiveness through Software Asset Management (SAM). The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of licensing models, hands-on ServiceNow experience, and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage software asset visibility, usage, compliance, and lifecycle activities.
- Maintain and enforce SAM policies and standards using ITIL-aligned practices.
- Utilise ServiceNow (or similar) to track software assets, installations, and entitlements.
- Provide compliance reports, support audits, and identify optimisation opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven IT Asset Management experience in medium-large ICT environments.
- In-depth knowledge of major software vendor licensing (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, etc.).
- ServiceNow or similar tool experience in asset tracking and compliance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and analytical reporting skills.
