The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Tester to join our Agile software development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the testing process, developing and executing comprehensive test strategies, and mentoring junior testers. Your expertise will ensure that our software meets the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain test methodologies, processes, and tools in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Conduct testing execution, peer review, results logging, and test result validation.
  • Assist with requirements management for projects and software products.
  • Undertake defect analysis and reporting, including liaison with project teams as necessary.
  • Escalate any issues (software, hardware, resources) to the Software Tech Lead/Project Manager.
  • Work collaboratively with a distributed team.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required

  • Experience in developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases, along with writing plans and reports and developing and delivering presentations.
  • Experience conducting testing execution, predominantly for desktop systems.
  • Solid knowledge of the software development process.
  • The ability to manage and run testing environments.
  • Skills and knowledge of testing theory, methodologies, processes, and procedures, including but not limited to regression testing, system integration testing, Formal Qualification Testing (FQT), and verification testing.
  • Basic DBMS skills for test data preparation and loading.
  • Experience setting up and conducting system performance testing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including experience in liaising between development teams, testers, and engineers.
