
Aquatic Operations Manager

Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking a proactive and people-focused Supervisor to oversee the safe, efficient, and community-centred operation of our aquatic and health facilities.
The role involves supervising the delivery of high-quality, safe, and community-focused aquatic services, managing contracts and service providers, and ensuring operational standards are consistently met across the Shire. You will work closely with seasonal and permanent staff, contractors, and key stakeholders to maintain compliance with safety regulations and drive service improvements.
You will contribute to long-term planning, policy development, and the ongoing enhancement of aquatic facilities to meet the evolving needs of the community. This is a great opportunity to lead services that bring people together, promote wellbeing, and make a real difference in your community.
Responsibilities:
- Safely manage and operate public swimming pools or aquatic centres.
- Supervise staff, including seasonal and permanent employees.
- Manage contracts and service providers.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Drive service improvements and enhance facility operations.
Requirements:
- Diploma qualification in Business Management, Sports and Recreation, or a relevant discipline.
- Proven experience in contract management and aquatic centre operations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
- Team management and development skills.
