Job Title: Home Care Support Specialist

 

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Home Care Support Specialist to provide personal care services for elderly clients living in their own homes. The successful candidate will work independently, providing day-to-day support and companionship to help clients live independently.

Duties:

The Home Care Support Specialist will be responsible for delivering quality care and support in accordance with each client's Care Plan and care package. This may include:

• Personal care such as showering, dressing and continence care

• Facilitating community access opportunities for clients

• Providing cleaning, laundry and meal preparation services

• Completing documentation and reports

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds

• An empathetic, client-focused approach

• Ability to problem-solve and work flexibly without direct supervision

• A Certificate III in Aged Care/Disability (desired)

• First Aid Certificate (less than 3 years old) or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks of commencement

• Current valid driver's licence to drive in Western Australia

• Reliable, insured car

• Satisfactory National Police Clearance (less than one year old)
