About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Leader to join our team in Sydney, responsible for leading anti-money laundering initiatives across the Oceania and Philippines region.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide proactive compliance advice and guidance on new business assessments and existing business reassessments.
  • Maintain expertise in AML and Sanctions laws, ensuring incorporation of relevant changes into Compliance Policies and Procedures and controls.
  • Communicate policy updates and regulatory changes to the business, ensuring alignment with local and global minimum standards.
  • Oversee management information analysis and develop Compliance reports for stakeholders, including country and regional leadership, and Global Compliance teams.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in complex retail/consumer financial services/payment services organizations, or a regulatory agency or law firm involving payment services compliance issues relating to anti-money laundering acts and related laws/regulations.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a management/supervisory position with multiple direct reports.
  • Proven track record of complex problem-solving and decision-making ability, with strong analytical skills.
  • Effective leader and team player, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization.
