Job Role

The Paediatric Clinical Facilitator will be part of a large and dynamic team, consisting of nurse educators and clinical facilitators. The role is responsible for the delivery of education and paediatric clinical support to the nursing team.

The Paediatric Emergency Unit (PEU) is an emergency service providing care to children under 16 years and their families. The unit consists of a paediatric triage and waiting room area, acute beds, and short-term treatment beds.

The paediatric nursing team consists of nurse practitioners, a clinical nurse consultant, and a clinical nurse who deliver care to children and their families. The clinical facilitator will work closely with the team to ensure high-quality nursing care is delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert nursing care in complex situations while supporting team members.
  • Role model excellent standards of comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care and documentation to facilitate quality patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain a positive workplace culture through consultation, liaison, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Coordinate staff and manage delegated resources, prioritizing needs and supporting day-to-day changes.
  • Provide leadership to plan, manage, and evaluate health services and patient flows to achieve organisational goals.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Be vaccinated against certain vaccine preventable diseases.
