We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Sydney, Australia location.

Job Role and Responsibilities

This role focuses on delivering high-quality and reliable products by defining, developing, and executing processes within the organization. You will work closely with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure deployment of reliable products meeting all mission requirements.

The Quality Assurance Engineer will support Manufacturing/Production/Engineering/Supply Chain teams to ensure quality objectives are met and mitigate risks affecting production deliverables. Responsibilities include investigating/troubleshooting product and production issues, raising non-conformance tickets for triage, supporting product traceability, taking corrective action, and defining implementing standards/specifications/processes across the QMS.

  • Work in a modern manufacturing environment supporting incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and end-of-line inspection.
  • Lead Material Review Board processes to ensure timely resolution of non-conformances.
  • Lead supplier quality assurance activities, including supplier development, qualification (PPAP/FAI), ongoing verification.
  • Propose, develop, and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to support AS9100/ISO9001 certification.
  • Support ongoing development of manufacturing work instructions.
  • Review and propose continuous improvement projects for productivity gains, quality improvements, and benefits to Anduril's quality policy.
  • Support calibration process of test equipment, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Support internal and external audits on processes and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field.
  • Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality in aerospace/defense/maritime or similar hardware.
  • Working knowledge of design review and quality management of PCBA, harnessing, avionics, systems integration, composites, propulsion systems, and welding.
  • Experience driving product quality and performance requirements to test and measurement system development and optimization.
  • Leading transition from engineering qualification to manufacturing variance testing for product quality coverage.
  • Working knowledge of product development methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) elements such as Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes.
  • Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability to drive projects from start to completion.
  • Analytical skills and experiences for data mining, data quality, metrics generation, issue management systems, and statistical analysis tools (MatLab, JMP, MiniTab, etc).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an NV2 Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience with developing quality systems for low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environments and suppliers.
  • Working knowledge of AS 9100/ ISO 9001-based Quality Management System requirements.
  • Experience with IPC standards.
  • Experience with government contracts and mil-standard requirements.
  • Experience with Teamcenter, SolidWorks, and Jira.
