We are seeking an experienced Painter/Blaster to join our team for a maintenance contract working on a 4/3 roster out on site in the Bowen Basin QLD.
All meals and accommodation are covered for you whilst on site.
Key Responsibilities- Surface preparation and painting of structures
- Working closely with various tradespeople
- Ability to read and understand specifications
- Organisation and preparedness to undertake assigned tasks
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with all relevant procedures
- MSM Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application
- Competency in the following units: MEM Prepare surfaces using solvents and/or mechanical means, MEM Prepare surfaces by abrasive blasting (basic), MEM Apply protective coatings (basic), MEM Control blast coating by-products, materials and emissions
- Recommended units: MEM Prepare surfaces by abrasive blasting (advanced), MEM Apply protective coatings (advanced)
- Hold a valid Standard 11, EWP, Work at Heights, Confined Space and Gas Testing (desirable), Current Coal Board medical (desirable)
